Product Care
Over time, Eucalyptus tables develop a slight grey patina. The Alfresco Home FSC Eucalyptus tables have a vintage hand-applied finish that simulates naturally weathered woods. To maintain Its original appeal and limit the wood’s natural aging, the Eucalyptus wood is maintained rather easily. It is recommended to sand down the tables slightly once a year with 150 or 180 grit sandpaper. The sanding will help eliminate any large fibers that seperate out and cause splinters, as well as give the table a smooth and even look. Note, sanding or oiling the tables will indeed alter the original finish. As it is recommended to maintain the tables this way, please not that over-sanding may result in a loss of the vintage finish already on the tables and voids any finish warranties that may exist.
