Founded in 2002 by Michael Ormsby, The Deck Company has achieved remarkable growth over the past two decades. Commencing operations with a borrowed hammer and saw, the company now constructs over 300 decks annually, serving Kansas City, Springfield Missouri, and NorthWest Arkansas. The Deck Company has established itself as a household name for backyard construction. Having expanded its services to include concrete patios, privacy fencing, outdoor kitchens, patio furniture, and grills, The Deck Company is now a one-stop-shop for outdoor living solutions, providing comprehensive services from design to furniture accessories.

Giving Back To The Community

Owner Michael Ormsby was honored as a runner-up in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Man of the Year” competition and continues to be actively involved with this incredible organization. The Deck Company proudly donates 3-4 decks each year to charity events and auctions, supporting causes like the Junior League, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Women in Need of the Ozarks, and LLS. We’ve also had the privilege of contributing to local Extreme Home Makeover projects, as well as sponsoring youth sports teams and community events.
